PSY 355 - Counseling Psychology4.00 credits. This course will provide you with an introduction to foundational counseling skills required of mental health care providers. The course will cover basic therapeutic microskills, select interventions designed to promote well-being, and issues pertaining to professional practice. To achieve a foundational level of skill, substantial class time is devoted to role-playing various counselor/counselee situations. *Prerequisite(s): PSY 105 , PSY 255 , and junior status or permission of instructor. Spring semester. Register by Instructor.
