HA 104 - Healthcare Economics4.00 credits. This course provides students with an overview of healthcare market structures across the United States. Students will evaluate the impact of healthcare systems on accessibility, quality, and affordable healthcare. Students will cover topics such as supply and demand modeling, cost-benefit analysis, implications of the Affordable Care Act and universal health care, the role of private and government health insurance, pharmaceutical markets, physician/hospital/long-term care markets, and consumer incentives. *Prerequisite(s): HA 100 . Spring semester.
