OT 549 - OT Practice and Research in International Contexts Elective

4.00 credits.
This elective course is designed to increase student knowledge of occupational therapy practice and research in the context of international practice. This course will facilitate student knowledge and application of alternative, cultural paradigms in understanding occupation; various occupational therapy theories that are utilized in practice throughout the world; the roles played by practitioners in international practice and research; the organizations and contextual issues surrounding this practice; and the complex ethical considerations in international practice. *Prerequisite(s): B.S. in Health and Occupation or B.S. in Occupational Therapy.
