Properties of pure substances, equations of state, and the laws of thermodynamics applied to analysis of closed and open systems, including power and refrigeration cycles, psychrometrics and combustion. Emphasis on macroscopic thermodynamics and engineering applications. *Prerequisite(s): PHY 202, or permission of the instructor. Fall semester.
