The Department of Physical Education and Health’s mission is to prepare students for a lifetime commitment to health, wellness, and physical activity. Courses in the Department: 1) develop positive attitudes and skills leading to physical fitness, health, and wellness; 2) develop discipline and commitment to goals and to personal standards such as sportsmanship and teamwork; and 3) develop self-care health practices to facilitate physical, emotional, and social well-being and quality of life.
No more than four credits of physical education courses may be counted toward the graduation credit requirement.
