The Engineering Management Graduate Certificate is designed to equip aspiring and current engineering and management professionals with the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities to excel in today’s dynamic and complex business environment. This program focuses on developing strong leadership and innovation skills, becoming data driven decision makers, developing a strong financial acumen, master project management principles, and gain expertise in supply chain management within an engineering and management context.

Student Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate leadership and innovation in complex organizational settings by effectively collaborating across dynamic teams, applying leadership principles to solve complex problems, and leading and managing change initiatives while considering ethical and social implications.
  • Effectively utilize data analysis techniques to inform strategic decision-making, drive continuous improvement within organizations, and communicate data-driven insights to various audiences within an engineering and management context.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial principles and their application within the context of engineering and management, including the ability to evaluate and manage financial risks and opportunities, make informed financial decisions that support organizational growth and sustainability, and effectively communicate financial information to various stakeholders.
  • Successfully plan, execute, and monitor complex engineering projects. This includes effectively managing project resources (budget, time, personnel), leading and motivating project teams, and implementing effective change management strategies while ensuring project objectives are achieved.
  • Demonstrate the ability to design, implement, and optimize efficient and effective supply chains within an engineering and management context, including applying principles of logistics, inventory management, and procurement to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement.

Admission Criteria

  • Complete the application via the online portal 
  • Submit a $25 nonrefundable application fee. (Waived for Elizabethtown College graduates). 
  • Upload your current resume. 
  • Request official transcripts from all undergraduate institutions attended. 
  • Upload a 1-2 page essay addressing your:  
    • motivation for pursuing the graduate certificate 
    • statement of professional goals 
    • goals for the application of the graduate certificate to your professional life
