CH 343 - Atoms and Molecules

An investigation of the fundamental structure of atoms and molecules and their interactions. The basics of quantum mechanics are presented and applied to the systems of interest. Chemical properties are interpreted from the molecular level. Specific application is made to spectroscopy. *Prerequisite(s): PHY 201, MA 122, CH 214, and CH 242. *Corequisite(s): CH 343L. Hours: lecture 3, laboratory 3. Fall semester.
