MSE 540 - Etiology, Equity, and Law4.00 credits. This course discusses federal and state special education law, including relevant court cases, and its interrelationship with equity and etiology of special needs students. Laws, regulations, policy, and stereotypes relating to the education of special needs populations are discussed. Methods of conflict resolution, mediation, and ethical standards are examined. Students will be required to apply what they learn as they analyze real-life case scenarios. *Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the Graduate Education Program is required. Register by Instructor.
