(Power of Language Core Course)
An introduction to American Sign Language (ASL). The course will examine the fundamentals of the sign lexicon emphasizing grammatical features of comprehension and expression. Students will build conversational skills through dialogues about the everyday life experiences that make up meaningful participation in human occupations. Through the Community-Based Learning experience, students will engage in contextual learning through interactive social participation with individuals in the Deaf Community.
