HCA 3600 - Issues in Women’s Healthcare

This course explores some of the major health conditions and challenges that specifically affect women. It examines the effects of chronic, infectious, autoimmune and psychological health conditions on women; as well as health disparities and gender differences in health behaviors. The goal of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the needs of women accessing healthcare, and how this knowledge is useful in developing successful and effective healthcare programs, services, management practices and policies.
