Theatre Endorsement Program

The Department offers a Theatre Endorsement Program, which is currently open to currently enrolled-degree seeking education majors. The Pennsylvania Department of Education, PDE, defines an endorsement as a certificate program documenting areas of education where formal certification does not currently exist. Students participating in this program will have the opportunity to assist in production, direction, and administrative tasks associated with theatre.

As advocates of the arts the education and theatre department envision the addition of this 12-credit theatre endorsement as an excellent means to enhance the quality of theatre instruction in PK-12 schools. Please note: students seeking a theatre major or minor are not eligible to participate in the Theatre Endoresment Program.
