Student Learning Outcomes for History:
Students will be able to:
- Draw effectively on primary and secondary sources to analyze historical developments in the U.S. and Europe.
- Analyze major issues in historiography.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing, as appropriate to the discipline of history.

The History major requires:
Surveys - One course must be taken in each of the two areas:
Upper-Level History - complete at least one course in each area (cultural, literary, and political history)
Five History Electives:
Only one course may be at the 100 level. Capstone - Enrollment limited to juniors and seniors
Internship Requirement (2-4 credits):
