Doctor of Physical Therapy/B.S. 4+3 Program with Messiah University

Elizabethtown College has an agreement for preferred admission with Messiah University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program following the successful completion of a bachelor’s degree from Elizabethtown College. For entrance into this program, Dr. Adam Swartzendruber, Exercise Science Director, will pre-screen interested Elizabethtown College students as early as the spring of their junior year.  Elizabethtown College students applying to Messiah University will submit their application to Messiah University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy prior to the October 1 deadline. Messiah University will then work with the Director of the Exercise Science program confirming the names of students reviewed as part of the articulation agreement to schedule interviews and determine provisional acceptance.

To be considered for provisional acceptance for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Messiah University, the student must: (1) complete their baccalaureate degree from Elizabethtown College, (2) meet with the Director of the Exercise Science program, and (3) have a GPA of at least 3.5 in science courses, pre-requisite courses, and an overall GPA of at least 3.5 by the end of their junior year of college.  All prerequisite coursework requirements must be fulfilled with a grade of “C” or better (a “C-” will not be accepted) in the courses listed below.
