Elizabethtown College was founded in 1899 by leaders of the Church of the Brethren. Today, the College is governed by an independent Board of Trustees and affirms a continuing covenantal relationship to the Church of the Brethren. Elizabethtown College is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.

For more than 70 years, Elizabethtown College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies has supported adult learners by offering convenient and flexible undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as micro-credential options specifically designed to meet the needs of busy working professionals. Courses are taught by faculty who are working in the fields in which they teach, ensuring that content is current and highly applicable.
