OT 112 - Occupation as Therapy4.00 credits. An introduction to disability and the use of occupation as therapy. Types and consequences of disability are explained. Students learn about the historical, philosophical and ethical development of the profession of occupational therapy. Roles and functions of occupational therapy personnel, the nature and processes of professional reasoning in the practice of occupational therapy, and the major theories related to occupational performance and occupational behavior are introduced. *Prerequisite(s): OT 111 and majors only. Spring semester.
