PHY 202 - College Physics II4.00 credits. A continuation of PHY 201 . Calculus-based introduction to the basic concepts of electricity and magnetism to include electrostatics, magnetostatics, electrostatic, potential, current, resistance, capacitance, inductance, direct current circuits, alternating current circuits, Maxwell’s equations, electromagnetic radiation, and quantum mechanics. Students will write several MATLAB programs. *Prerequisite(s): A grade of C- or above in MA 121 . Students who have credit for PHY 102 may not enroll in this course for credit. *Corequisite(s): PHY 202L. Hours: combined lecture/discussion 4, laboratory 2. Fall semester.
