PS 304 - Constitutional Law II: Rights and Liberties4.00 credits. This course examines the Supreme Court’s interpretation of the protections provided by the U.S. Constitution against governmental intrusion on our civil liberties. Topics include First Amendment issues, such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the establishment clause; 14th Amendment issues, such as right to privacy; discrimination based on race, gender and sexual orientation; and remedies for discrimination such as affirmative action.
