MSF 520 - Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits 3.00 credits. This course introduces all of the retirement planning topics a financial planner must master in order to become a Certified Financial Planner®. The course provides a solid foundation on retirement planning for the business, business owner, and the individual. Specifically, the course offers in-depth discussions on retirement planning for accumulations and distributions, qualified plans, non-qualified plans, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs), Social Security benefits, and employee benefits. In addition, the retirement needs of individuals will be covered in a case study. Discussions throughout the course seek to address both personal and business needs of clients and prepare students to succeed in the capstone case study course.
