TIP 551 - Adolescent Development 3.00 credits. In this course, we will learn about concepts, theories, and research related to development during the adolescent period. Physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and moral aspects of development will be considered. Additionally, typical and atypical courses of adolescent development will be examined as well as problems that adolescents can experience during this period. Students in the course will be introduced to different models, approaches, and developmentally appropriate practices for students in the secondary grades.
