SSA 520 - Developing Educational Accountability Systems

The fundamental basis of any organizational accountability system is the articulation of the benefit that a stakeholder can expect by engaging with your organization. Participants in this course will develop their understanding of system accountability to better understand a human-centered approach and to articulate specific benefits that stakeholders receive through interaction with their school district. The course reinforces that system change requires critically analyzing current accountability systems as well as unlearning on the individual, interpersonal, and collective levels. Educational leaders are challenged to grow their capacity for leading the process of unlearning, learning, and shifting to focus on the primary stakeholder of education: students.
