MCP 560 - Practicum and Seminar

Variable (0.00-3.00) credits.
This course is intended to provide students with the opportunity to apply counseling knowledge and skills in a supervised community placement. As part of the practicum experience, students will complete a minimum of 100 hours at an approved community site; at least 40 of these hours must be direct contact hours. Students will also attend weekly seminar meetings with the instructor and other students to discuss cases and issues pertinent to ongoing professional development. This course is repeatable for credit for a maximum of 3.00 credits. Prerequisite(s): MCP 505  and MCP 510 . Fall Semester.
