ART 250 - Neoclassicism and Romanticism4.00 credits. An in-depth study of European art and culture from 1750 to 1850 that examines the role of Neoclassicism and Romanticism in promoting social and political ideals, the aesthetics of the Beautiful and the Sublime, and cultural primitivism. *Prerequisite(s): ART 157 , or permission of the instructor. Fall semester, odd-numbered years.
