MA 117 - Concepts of Calculus4.00 credits. Designed to give students in the biological, social and management sciences a firm working knowledge of calculus. The approach is intuitive, with emphasis on applications. Topics include differentiation, curve sketching, optimization, logarithmic and exponential functions, and integration. *Prerequisite(s): A grade of C- or better in MA 011 or placement. Note: Students who have received credit for MA 121 may not enroll in this course. NOTE: This course will satisfy Mathematics Core AU for students enrolled prior to Fall 2013.
