ED 210 - Peace Education and Integrated Schools in Northern Ireland and U.S.2.00 credits. This course explores the history, process and practices of peace education and integrated schools in Northern Ireland and the United States. Comparative methods of peace education, integrative practices, inclusion, mediation, and conflict resolution will be examined. Students will conduct independent research with a faculty mentor that links course content to each student’s program of study. Upon completion of the spring semester course, students will travel to Belfast to work with key stakeholders in the region’s integrated schools, including Queens University faculty in the Centre for Shared Education and leaders in the Northern Ireland Council for Integrated Education.
