An in-depth study of European art and culture from 1750 to 1850 that examines the role of Neoclassicism and Romanticism in promoting social and political ideals, the aesthetics of the Beautiful and the Sublime, and cultural primitivism. *Prerequisite(s): ART 155 or ART 157 , or permission of the instructor.
