Cutting-edge innovations in robotics, automation, and machine intelligence, and their ethical impacts in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts. Various forms of machine intelligence including symbolic AI and artificial neural networks. Mobile-robot and robotic-arm theory, applications, simulations, real-time control, and path-planning. Human Computer Interactions (HCI). Periodic creation of large mobile robots. *Prerequisite(s): CS 121 and MA 121 . Fall semester, odd-numbered years.
