PS 340 - Political Violence and Terrorism4.00 credits. This course systematically analyzes political violence and terrorism in comparative and international perspective. It introduces students to the historical, analytical and comparative study of terrorism, civil wars, and other forms of political violence. It surveys competing theories about the causes, conduct, and conclusion of the political conflicts and political violence in the world and examines how the international community deals with different forms of political violence. Alternating spring semesters.
