ED 151 - Early Adolescent/Adolescent Development 4.00 credits. This course examines the concepts, theories, and research on early adolescent and adolescent development. It focuses on typical and atypical physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and moral development of children ages 8-18. Students will be introduced to different models, approaches, and developmentally appropriate practices for students in grades 4-12. Field experience is required, which will require FBI Clearance, Criminal Record Clearance, Pennsylvania child Abuse Clearance, and TB Test (fees). *Prerequisite(s): ED 105 . *Corequisite(s): ED 151L. A grade of C or better must be earned to continue in the program.
